In a constant effort to improve quality and lower costs, Nicos Gleoudis Kavex S.A. has for decades followed a rolling investment program.
Since 1993 our company also operates in Albania under the name KAVEX ELBASAN S.A., where we process presently 1,5 million kgs of Oriental tobaccos in our wholly owned factory and storage complex.
In February, 2002, we inaugurated a new (GLT) 21.000 m2 F/C Virginia and Burley threshing plant in Axioupolis, with a 7 ton green weight per hour capacity. The factory houses state-of-the-art threshing machinery and a quality control laboratory capable of meeting the most demanding customer specifications. Blended strips packing as well as Oriental soft drying are also provided.
Our two existing Oriental tobacco processing factories in Greece and in Albania are equipped with the most modern and efficient equipment, with capacities of 6 tons/hour and 4 tons/hour respectively. The Greek Oriental plant is equipped with a redryer and presses for soft drying and carton packing.
Warehousing and processing space totals 75.000 m2.
